Maintenance Fitter

Our client is seeking Maintenance Fitters to join their team, working across day and night shifts within the FMCG industry. 

As a Maintenance Fitter, your role will involve servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the equipment and production machinery of the manufacturing plant. You will work in a FMCG manufacturing environment where hygiene and safety standards are paramount.

Location: South West

Pay : 43-48ph based on experience 
Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 6 am to 2 pm
• Night Shift: 10 pm to 6 am (+30% loading)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance and service to all plant and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and provide hands-on solutions for repairs and modifications.
• Schedule planned maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections.
• Assemble and commission mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Oversee maintenance of various systems including electrical, mechanical, steam, pneumatic, and electronic.
• Ensure facilities maintenance, including boilers, compressors, and cooling towers, is up to standard.

Requirements:

• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting.
• Understanding of quality assurance systems and food safety standards.
• Prior experience within a food manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
