Field Service Technician

Our client is a mechanical engineering company which provide coding and marking solutions through a broad range of technology available. Including large and small character inkjet printers, laser coding systems, thermal transfer printers and labeling equipment plus more!

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician to join their team based in Wacol.

Do you like being out on the road visiting customers? Do you have an Electrical or Electronics background? This could be the next step in your career!  

This position is responsible for fault finding and diagnosis, installations and servicing throughout Brisbane metro suburbs, along with some travel to regional areas.

Hours of work 7am to 3.30pm plus overtime as needed.

• Electronics or Mechanical degree preferred
• Experience within FMCG maintenance required
• Will suit trade qualified Electrician - automation experience is a plus

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Planned maintenance / preventative maintenance Service
• Predictive maintenance planning, new equipment installation & commissioning
• Unplanned maintenance for breakdowns
• Provide first class training to customers
• Create detailed service reports
• Assist with sales support & equipment demonstrations
• In-house new equipment and stock QC
• Assembly, inspection & preparation for new equipment installation
• Develop documentation to support the Customer & the business as required
• Design print templates for technology using Image Design Software

Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrical Work License or Restricted Electrical Work License
• Tertiary degree in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent 
• Experience in field engineering / customer services within manufacturing
• Date Coder Systems knowledge is highly advantageous
• Strong customer service & communication skills
• Understanding of industrially networked systems.
• Ability to work autonomously & prioritise workload
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Self-Starter who is capable of learning on the job
• Ability to work at a fast pace and get it right the first time
• Current QLD Drivers Licence
