Maintenance Fitter

Our client is in search for  Maintenance Fitters to join their team, operating across day and weekend shifts within the FMCG industry.As a Maintenance Fitter, your responsibilities will involve servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the equipment and production machinery of the manufacturing plant.  This is a permanent role offering shifts across both day and weekend shifts, with many opportunities for overtime.

Salary Range: $45 - $48 per hour

Day Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Weekend Shifts: Work four 10-hour days per week, from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, for two weeks per month

As a maintenace fitter, your duties will be:

- Performing routine and unplanned maintenance tasks
- Undertaking general maintenance activities throughout the factory
- Adjusting machinery setups to align with production requirements
- Executing multivac machine changeovers
- Disassembling machines to facilitate cleaning access for the maintenance team

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

- Trade qualification as a Fitter is preferred.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is necessary, with exposure to the FMCG sector being a plus.
- Ability to excel in a team-based work environment.
- Australian Permanent Resident status with Full Work Rights.
